# What You Need:

→ Steak & Marinade

01 - 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
02 - 1 tbsp olive oil
03 - 1 tsp salt
04 - ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper

→ Mushrooms

05 - 10 oz cremini or white mushrooms, quartered

→ Garlic Butter Sauce

06 - 3 tbsp unsalted butter
07 - 4 garlic cloves, minced
08 - 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
09 - ½ tsp dried thyme or 1 tsp fresh thyme

→ Optional Garnishes

10 - Lemon wedges

# How to Make It:

01 - Pat steak cubes dry with paper towels. Toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper to coat evenly.
02 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak cubes in a single layer and sear for 2 to 3 minutes, turning to brown all sides. Remove steak and set aside.
03 - In the same skillet, add quartered mushrooms. Sauté for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they release moisture and turn golden.
04 - Reduce heat to medium. Add butter, minced garlic, thyme, and parsley to the mushrooms. Stir continuously for 1 minute until fragrant.
05 - Return steak bites and any accumulated juices to the skillet. Toss with the garlic butter sauce for 1 to 2 minutes until heated through and well coated.
06 - Adjust seasoning to taste. Garnish with additional parsley and serve immediately with optional lemon wedges.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Ready in under half an hour but tastes like you spent all day perfecting it.
  • The garlic butter clings to every bite, making even the mushrooms irresistible.
  • Cleanup is a breeze since everything cooks in one pan.
02 -
  • Do not skip patting the steak dry, wet meat will never get that beautiful caramelized crust.
  • Pull the steak out of the pan when it is still slightly pink inside, it will keep cooking from residual heat.
  • If your pan is too crowded the steak will steam instead of sear, work in batches if you need to.
03 -
  • Use a cast iron skillet if you have one, it holds heat beautifully and gives you an even sear.
  • Mince your garlic fresh right before cooking, pre-minced garlic from a jar does not have the same punch.
  • Reserve a few tablespoons of the garlic butter sauce to drizzle over your side dishes for extra decadence.
