Tender steak bites and golden mushrooms sautéed in fragrant garlic butter for a quick, savory dish.

# What You Need:

→ Steak & Marinade

01 - 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
04 - 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
05 - 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

→ Mushrooms

06 - 8 ounces cremini or white mushrooms, quartered
07 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
08 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
09 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

→ Garlic Butter

10 - 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
11 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
12 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
13 - 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (optional)

# How to Make It:

01 - Combine steak cubes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika in a bowl. Let rest at room temperature while preparing mushrooms.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms, season with salt and pepper, and cook 4–5 minutes until golden and tender. Remove and set aside.
03 - Increase heat to high. Add steak cubes in a single layer, cooking in batches if needed. Sear 1–2 minutes per side until browned but medium-rare inside. Transfer to plate.
04 - Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to skillet and melt. Add minced garlic and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
05 - Return steak and mushrooms to skillet. Toss with garlic butter and herbs 1–2 minutes until coated and heated through. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Ready in under 30 minutes but tastes like something from a steakhouse
  • The garlic butter creates this incredible sauce that you'll want to drag every bite through
02 -
  • Don't skip the step of letting the meat come to room temperature—it's the difference between perfectly seared and gray, tough steak
  • Overcrowding the pan when searing steak is the fastest way to ruin the texture, so just take the extra minute to do two batches if needed
03 -
  • If you want to deglaze the pan, add a splash of white wine after removing the steak before making the garlic butter—it creates an incredible sauce base
  • Leftovers (if you somehow have any) reheat beautifully in a skillet over medium heat
